BROWSER & PLATFORMS

Windows Neuro Browser

Organize desktop research on Windows with attention to files, browser boundaries, and evidence portability. This is a planning guide, not a Windows application.

Map the desktop workflow

Identify where a source enters the workflow, where working copies are stored, and where final notes are shared. A browser tab, a downloaded document, and a synced folder may follow different access rules. Create a small non-sensitive project folder and practice the entire path before introducing real research data. Keep file provenance visible when a browser-based assistant hands work to a desktop tool.

Measure the whole session

When comparing local inference with a hosted model, include model loading, memory use, export, and reviewer time. Hardware names alone are not evidence that a workflow is suitable. Record the tested browser, device configuration, and model version. Retain a manual fallback for machines that cannot run the selected model, and avoid presenting an untested desktop setup as generally supported.

Three questions to take with you

01Where are working files stored or synced?
02Can the output be opened on another computer?
03What is the fallback when local inference cannot run?
