Design an AI API contract before building the endpoint
Specify evidence, uncertainty, validation, errors, and versioning in an interface contract that can be reviewed on paper.
Read the guide ↗Learn how to describe an AI interface with clear request fields, output states, validation rules, and evidence references. No live API is offered here.
A concept API should state what it accepts, what it returns, and how it represents uncertainty. Keep a schema version separate from a model version. A response might be structurally valid while still requiring editorial review, so do not use a successful transport status as a truth label. Our API material is an educational design surface, not endpoint documentation for an operating service.
Write example responses for an unsupported input, an unavailable model, and a completed but unresolved classification. Decide which operations can be retried without creating duplicates. Never place private service credentials in a public browser bundle. Use the Lab contract guide to prepare a paper specification that can be reviewed before any service is implemented.
